Spiritual Adaptation

Building a spiritually-rooted Jewish climate movement

THE CLIMATE CRISIS IS NOT JUST An Environmental, ECONOMIC, AND RACIAL JUSTICE ISSUE — IT IS ALSO AN ISSUE OF THE SOUL.

Rooted in Jewish history and experience, teachings and tradition, and faith and song, we offer pathways for Jews and Jewish communities to confront the crisis with their hearts and eyes wide open, acknowledge feelings of fear and anxiety, cultivate a sense of hope, and move into courageous action.

Here’s how we CULTIVATE spiritual integrity in this time of crisis:

Workshops

Grounded in research and Jewish wisdom, we offer workshops that empower participants to confront the climate crisis and move to active hope.

WORKSHOPS

Dayenu’s highly experiential 2-hour workshop: Confronting the Climate Crisis and Cultivating Spiritual Courage draws on Jewish teachings, stories, and music, connecting participants to Jewish wisdom, history, and each other as they take in the overwhelming and existential threat, cultivate a sense of hope, and move into courageous action.

We have offered the workshop to 30+ diverse Jewish communities, from a cadre of Millennial Jewish climate activists to synagogues, from Hillels and Moishe Houses to a Jews of Color Collective. Beyond the intensive workshop, we are developing new, shorter Spiritual Adaptation experiences that can become paired with Dayenu’s climate organizing trainings and shared at conferences and public programs – introducing a broader audience to this meaningful work.
