We are calling on Governor Hochul and our elected officials to ensure that we continue making progress in a just and equitable way by funding programs that move us toward a clean energy future. With the federal government now fully captured by corporate polluters, this is the moment for states to step up and take big bold climate action. We need to act now to demand the strongest possible programs to invest in clean energy, public health, good jobs, and affordability for New Yorkers.
To meet the Jewish imperative to survive and thrive l’dor vador (from generation to generation), we call on our elected officials at all levels of government to support the investments and policies necessary to create a just and livable future for all New Yorkers!
We’re calling on Governor Kathy Hochul to use every lever of governing she has to meet this moment of peril and opportunity. We offer her hizzuk (strength) to make New York the climate leader we know it can and should be.

On November 7, Governor Kathy Hochul decided to approve the NESE Wiliams Pipeline project. This is a shanda, a potential disaster for New York State, and a blatant giveaway to the polluting fossil fuel industry.

New York is not doing nearly enough to ensure that the benefits of a clean energy future – clean air and water, affordable energy bills, and good, green jobs – reach every New Yorker regardless of race, income, or zip code. Together, we can change this.
New York’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act – which our climate movement had a huge role in winning – enables the state to set a strict limit on planet-warming emissions, charge corporations for their share of pollution, and then invest those funds in climate solutions.
We demand that our state officials and lawmakers act to limit climate pollution while raising much-needed funds for community-based climate solutions. Governor Hochul’s Administration must move forward a Cap and Invest program which would set a strict pollution cap, and state lawmakers must direct those earnings to the communities that have suffered the most from poverty, pollution, and the burning of dirty fossil fuels.
