Tell Governor Kathy Hochul to adopt a strong Cap-Trade-and-Invest program swiftly and without further delay.
We are calling on Governor Hochul and our elected officials to ensure that we continue making progress in a just and equitable way by funding programs that move us toward a clean energy future. Governor Hochul’s Administration must implement a Cap, Trade, and Invest program which would set a strict pollution limit; and state lawmakers must direct those earnings to the communities that have suffered the most from poverty, pollution, and the burning of dirty fossil fuels.
To move this program forward, Governor Hochul must allow regulatory agencies (DEC and NYSERDA) to release draft regulations and initiate a public hearing and comment period.
Now is the time to invest in a just livable future for all New Yorkers for generations to come.

Tell your state legislator to support a budget and legislative agenda to adopt Cap, Trade, and Invest swiftly and without further delay.
Our state legislators must move forward a Cap, Trade, and Invest program which would set a strict pollution limit, and direct those earnings to the communities that have suffered the most from poverty, pollution, and the burning of dirty fossil fuels.
To move this program forward, they must support the passage of A3975/S4651A and pass a state budget proposal that includes full funding to implement this essential climate legislation. Now is the time to invest in a just livable future for all New Yorkers for generations to come.
