In February the Massachusetts House passed a bill to cut MassSave by $1 billion under the guise of energy affordability, while doing nothing to rein in utility corporations’ profits. 

The bill now sits in the Massachusetts Senate, and state senators need to hear from you! 

MassSave provides weatherization, heat-pumps, and other energy efficiency upgrades to Massachusetts residents. Its current 3-year plan is focused on bringing these benefits to low-income households, who pay more for energy and have historically been locked out of improvements like rooftop solar and electrification. Cutting $1 billion now would harm the people who need this support the most. Meanwhile, utility corporations continue to build unnecessary polluting pipelines. We must protect MassSave to ensure a livable and just future and bring down energy costs for our neighbors.
