The sun showed up on October 12 in time to illuminate a community sukkah at Jewish Silicon Valley in Los Gatos, CA, where people gathered for a climate fair.
The fair – organized by Dayenu Circle of Jewish Silicon Valley – featured keynote speaker California Assemblymember Ash Kalra, who talked about the Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act of 2025 (which he co-authored). This bill would make the world’s biggest fossil fuel polluters pay their fair share to cover the costs of climate damages in the state. (Dayenu is mobilizing to support passage of this bill – take action here.)
Activists offered information about easy climate actions, water-wise gardening rebates, and clean energy. And plenty of food and teachings on Sukkot!
The photographer at this event was Chris Cassell from Pro Bono Photo photographers.
