Oil and gas drilling is toxic. It shouldn’t be happening anywhere near homes, schools, and hospitals.

With support from Dayenu activists, California outlawed drilling within 3,200 feet of homes, schools, hospitals, and other sensitive locations in 2022. This huge environmental justice victory protects the frontline communities suffering the worst health impacts from fossil fuel pollution — primarily Black, Brown, Indigenous, and low-income populations.
Since then, we’ve been organizing to make sure the law is implemented. However, oil and gas corporations are doing all they can to prevent it from taking effect. It’s on us to draw the line at the state where we live and vote. We fought hard to make California a leader on climate progress.
Take action today and leave a comment to make sure OUR policymakers know what matters to us.
