We’ve stopped dirty fossil fuel giveaways before, and we’re ready to do it again.

The SPEED Act would gut public input and rig the permitting process in favor of costly, dirty energy projects over affordable clean energy. It would severely weaken the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), which ensures that the public has a right to learn about a project’s risks, voice their opposition, and propose alternatives to the fossil fuel industry’s destructive plans.

That’s why advocates have dubbed it another “Dirty Deal.” The good news is our movement has stopped this kind of attack before.

As Jews and people of faith, we know that the only path forward is one of tzedek, justice –everyone deserves clean air, water, health and safety. Elevating the interests of the fossil fuel industry over human life is the very opposite of ensuring a just and livable future.

Tell your Senators to put the people they represent before fossil fuel industry profits. Say NO to the SPEED Act.
