Digital Strategist and Creative Contractor

Dayenu: A Jewish Call to Climate Action seeks a Digital Strategist and Creative Contractor to grow the reach, distribution, and marketing of Dayenu’s pioneering Spiritual Adaptation resources as well as the overall reach of Dayenu’s digital communications.

Dayenu is building a movement of American Jews confronting the climate crisis with spiritual audacity and bold political action. We mobilize Jewish support for climate solutions, build our collective power with national and global movements, and raise up a spiritual, religious, and moral voice.

In our Spiritual Adaptation work, Dayenu supports people to confront the reality of the climate crisis and to grapple with the deep spiritual and existential questions it raises. Rooted in Jewish wisdom, joy, ritual, and voice, we provide pathways for people to confront and move through feelings of fear, anxiety, and powerlessness. We support people and communities to consider what it means to live, parent, come of age, and lead in this frightening time, cultivate hope, and move into courageous action.

As we  build our movement, we aim to significantly grow our creative social media, digital content,  and reach, garnering 10,000 new followers over the next three years. Digital pathways are key to growing our movement – including young people, Jews of Color, and frontline organizers/activists – who are disproportionately affected by climate grief and distress.

Dayenu’s Digital Strategist and Creative Contractor will drive the digital growth of a five-year-old multi-generational organization that is mobilizing the American Jewish community to take meaningful, strategic action to address the climate crisis and is providing spiritual resourcing in the face of this painful reality. This exciting new role will have three primary functions: 1) Developing a strategy to grow Dayenu’s overall digital audience and reach; 2) Developing a strategy specifically to grow the digital audience for our Spiritual Adaptation content, including potentially the creation of new digital channels or platforms; 3) Designing, creating, and sharing digital content drawing from Dayenu’s growing library of Spiritual Adaptation resources and programs.

About Dayenu: A Jewish Call to Climate Action

Dayenu is building a movement of American Jews confronting the climate crisis with spiritual audacity and bold political action. We mobilize Jewish support for climate solutions, build our collective power, and raise up a spiritual, religious, and moral voice in the national and global movements confronting the climate crisis. We care deeply about equity and justice in our world and about the future we create for our children and future generations. We believe that together, drawing from our Jewish tradition, experience, and faith, we have the power to create real and lasting change.

We focus on three main areas of work: Bold action to advance comprehensive climate policy and ensure a just transition away from fossil fuels; spiritual adaptation that helps people confront the reality of the climate crisis and grapple with the deep spiritual and existential questions it raises; and movement-building.

Through a growing network of Dayenu Circles across the country and partnerships with Jewish communal institutions and multifaith and secular organizations, we’re gathering, training, and taking collective action to advance systemic solutions to the climate crisis, at the scale that science and justice demand.
