Shabbat Shekalim, which falls this year on Friday, is a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility to care for one another. On this day, we remember how our ancestors were called to contribute half a biblical shekel to support the needs of the community. This tradition teaches us that giving tzedakah is a profound way to pursue justice — Tzedek.
Inspired by this tradition, Dayenu is proud to join dozens of Jewish justice organizations to launch the inaugural Jewish Justice Giving Day on February 26, 2025 — 24 hours of unity and action.
We are asking for your support so that we can meet the years ahead with strength: fight Trump’s pernicious climate rollbacks, advance critical and truly possible climate solutions at the state and local level, and sustain people’s spirits for the work ahead. But we cannot do this without you.
