Joe Blumberg is a musician, organizer, and first-year rabbinical student at the Jewish Theological Seminary. Before beginning at JTS he served on the engagement team at Brown RISD Hillel in Providence, RI, where he worked with hundreds of students to bring innovative initiatives to life in the Jewish community. Joe has spent time learning Torah at the Pardes Institute, and has worked closely with organizations like Women of the Wall and the Jerusalem African Community Center to amplify marginalized voices in Jerusalem. He comes to Dayenu’s work with deep love for Jewish communities, and a commitment to centering climate activism as a core Jewish value. Joe holds a B.A. in History from Yale and lives in New York, where he can often be found playing bluegrass and Pickleball.
